Abya Yala

Abya Yala is the subgroup all about the Americas. Northern Native Americans, Inkas, Maya, the Caribbean - Abya Yala has it all.

The Kuna, an Indigenous people of Panama and Colombia, use the term Abya Yala to refer to the American continent. This translates to "land in its full maturity", "land of lifeblood", or "noble land that welcomes all". Nowadays, the term is commonly used to replace colonial names. Our subgroup revitalises traditions, crafts, and other aspects of the lives and culture of two continents and all of its archaeological regions.
