Meet the Board
The L.A.S. Terra board consists of eight positions. The Chair, Secretary, and the Treasurer form what is known as the “core board”. They make sure that Terra works as an organisation, manage a budget, and oversee all things Terra-related. Our five Assessors of the subgroups are in charge of most of our events each month. They each represent an archaeological region of the world. Together with their subgroup board, they are in charge of the most important thing - creating fun opportunities to make friends and connect with other archaeology students!

Hi, my name is Max. I’m 22 and I came from Austria to Leiden to study archaeology. I am the chair of L.A.S. Terra for the academic year of 2025/2026. Last year, I was the assessor of L.A.D. Situla, and this year I hope to provide a great year for our members, together with this year’s board!

Hey! I'm NyAnna, an archaeology and art history student in my third year studying at Leiden. Last year, I was involved in the subgroup Situla and the Experimental Days. Now, I handle communications and the weekly newsletter, which keeps you updated on the coolest events around. Together with the current board, we're working hard to make this a great year for everyone!

Hii! I’m Guusje and I’m the treasurer of LAS Terra this year! I am 21 years old and this will be my 4th year of studying archaeology.
Besides that I’m always here for everyone, so if you see me walking around in the faculty or at an event, don’t be scared to ask me anything! Together with the rest of the board we’re gonna make this an awesome year!

Hello :) My name is Teresa, and I am a 19-year-old international student from Spain and Luxembourg. I will be doing my second year of Archaeology at Leiden University. I am the Assessor for the subgroup Reuvens, which focuses on the Mediterranean. I hope to see you at all the activities!

Hello! My name is Diana. I’m a 21-year-old archaeology student from Romania, currently in my third year of studies. I'm the assessor for Abya Yala, which is the subgroup of the Americas. I'm excited to be part of this journey and look forward to sharing knowledge, making connections and friends, and having fun along the way!

Hello, my name is Arda. I’m 20 years old and I came from Türkiye to Leiden to study heritage. This year, I’m the assessor of the subgroup responsible for the Near East: Nabu Na’id. Growing up surrounded by the archeology of this region is the reason why I wanted to study archeology, and I hope to share my passion with others by organising fun events (especially ones about food).

Assessor Situla
Hey there! My name is Zofia (she/her), and this year I‘m the assessor of L. A. D. Situla. I fell in love with the openness and warmth you would always find in the Terra office, and want to continue with this tradition! For Situla this year I want to include more Eastern European cultures in the events, as they often get sidelined. I also have a love for cooking and baking - so expect some more food related events.
